A little bit more about me:

The Oporto Family
I bring over 25 years of experience supporting children and families across various educational and therapeutic settings. Throughout my career, I’ve developed a strong focus on supporting children with neurodivergent profiles, including autism and ADHD, using individualized and strengths-based approaches.
In August 2025, my family and I made the permanent move to New Brunswick. After falling in love with its welcoming community, we knew that we wanted to be a part of it. I am proud to call the Greater Moncton area home, and I am committed to contributing meaningfully to my new community.
As both a professional and a parent of neurodivergent children — and as someone who personally understands ADHD — I deeply understand the challenges families face. I know how overwhelming it can feel when classroom supports are stretched thin, waiting lists feel endlessly long, and your child’s or family’s needs don’t quite fit the traditional model for publicly funded support.
My experience in Education, ABA therapy, and supporting children and youth in a wide range of environments has reinforced one core belief: children thrive with consistency, connection, and approaches tailored to their unique learning style.
“From ‘now what?’ to ‘I’ve got this.’” This is what led me to create OPORTunityKids — a place where families feel heard, children are supported as individuals, and practical, affordable support is accessible.
“If a child cannot learn in the way we teach…we must teach in the way the child can learn.”
